NDAX provides two distinct environments: Production and Sandbox

Production

The Production environment is the live platform used for conducting actual trades, submitting trades, managing deposits and withdrawals, and managing client accounts. It is the platform that is used for the day-to-day operation of the digital asset exchange. Before initiating live trades and accessing live market data, it is recommended that applications and systems undergo testing in the sandbox environment. The sandbox environment is a simulated environment that allows developers and users to test and debug their applications and systems before deploying them in the Production environment. This helps to ensure that the applications and systems are functioning properly and are ready for live operation. By conducting test runs in the sandbox environment, users can identify and fix any potential issues before they impact the live platform.

Sandbox

The National Digital Asset Exchange (NDAX) offers a sandbox environment that allows developers and users to test and debug their applications and systems before deploying them on the live platform. The sandbox environment provides full settlement functionality using test funds, which are provided solely for testing purposes. It is a simulated environment that offers the same features and capabilities as the live platform, but allows users to test their applications and systems without the risk of affecting real-world trades or funds. The sandbox environment is an important tool for developers and users to prove out and certify their readiness to work with NDAX's systems. Additionally, new features and API changes are deployed in the sandbox environment, giving users the opportunity to test and review system updates before they are implemented in the Production environment. This helps to ensure that the updates are functioning correctly and are ready for live operation.

Hours

NDAX operates 24/7. Note, however, that the certification environment will periodically be taken down for testing.

Unsupported Features​

The Transfer endpoints are not available for testing in the Sandbox:

• Deposit from payment

• Withdraw to crypto address

• Withdraw to NDAX Account
